Welcome to the Gholson ISD Counseling Department!

Hello! I’m Stephanie Gober, and I am blessed to serve as the PK–12 School Counselor for Gholson ISD. I am so excited to be part of the Gholson family and to have the opportunity to walk alongside our students and families throughout their educational journey.

A little about me — I am a wife, mom, Mimi, educator, counselor, and woman of faith. My husband and I have a wonderfully big blended family that includes six adult children and a growing group of grandchildren who bring so much joy to our lives! The family picture you see here is already a little out of date — it is missing our newest grandson, and we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our granddaughter in December. 💗

My faith is an important part of who I am and has shaped my heart for serving, encouraging, and caring for others. I truly believe every student deserves to feel seen, supported, valued, and capable of success. One of the things I love most about school counseling is getting to know students as individuals and helping them navigate not only academics and future plans, but also the challenges and changes that come with growing up.

As your school counselor, I am here to support students and families in areas including academic planning, college and career readiness, social and emotional development, graduation requirements, course selection, testing, scholarships, personal concerns, and connecting families with additional resources when needed.
